Shane breaks down what's been hot in the NFL, and what is not, as we approach Week 10 of the 2023 NFL Regular Season.

CJ Stroud

Book your Offensive Rookie of the Year ticket right now, as CJ Stroud turns it on against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a 39-37 comeback win. Being 7th in the league in passing yards, with a mediocre team at best, is very impressive. I hope the Texans can continue to build around this guy as he has shown he can be THE guy.

Sam Howell

This dude is a gamer. He’s been sacked 44 times, which is twice as much as the 2nd place guy. He still slings the rock around the field while remaining close in every game. They may be 4-5 and the defense is very sus, but you can believe in Sam.

Taysom Hill

As a tight end he catches a touchdown pass, and throws one as well, late in the game to secure the home win vs the Bears. This utility belt of a football player is getting it done again. I honestly thought Sean Payton would trade for him since he wasn’t getting used as often. But look at him now, he’s alive and well.

New York Giants

Wow. I wouldn’t wish this season upon anybody. Evan Neal continues to get injured and miss time on an already weak offensive line. Danny Dimes might be done for the season with a serious knee injury. They still have to play the Eagles twice, and with Leonard Williams being traded, a team already slim on talent gets slimmer. Yikes.

Atlanta Falcons

Josh Dobbs, who has never worked with the Minnesota Vikings’ offensive line, steps in as Jaren Hall went down with an injury. He said it was like going from AP Spanish class to AP French. Atlanta couldn’t figure it out, as the defense becomes the sacrificial lamb, as the offense did its job for 28 points behind Taylor Heinicke’s first start.

LA Rams

Not only did you potentially lose Matthew Stafford for the season, but you can clearly see there is not enough to win games if Matt isn’t on the field. Aaron Donald can only do so much defensively as they lack the playmakers to score for the defense. Already 3-6 with games against Ravens and Niners remaining towards the end of the season, I don’t like the direction of this team.
