Shane discusses what's been hot in the NFL, and what is not, as we approach Week 6 of the 2023 NFL Regular Season.

Who is Hot in the NFL?

Lamar Jackson

He’s back! Okay not fully back like the “Human Jukestick”, but he’s averaging around 50+ rushing yards and throwing for over 200+ passing. If his receivers can finally catch the ball consistently, and Mark Andrews stays healthy, this team is balling behind Lamar.

Miami Dolphins

So good. This offense is BUZZING! The defense is capable and with Jalen Ramsey’s return on the horizon, it’s only going to get better.

CJ Stroud

My Offensive Rookie of the Year winner, CJ Stroud, has been stellar all season and shined against a stout New Orleans defense at home. This dude looks legit despite a lack of talent around him.

Who is Not Hot in the NFL?

Undefeated Teams

The last two remaining, the San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles, were both beat down for losses this weekend. The Niners suffered a couple of injuries to their star players, as Brock Purdy had his crash back to reality.

Chicago Bears

Here we go again with the quarterback shuffle, as some guy named Tyson Bagent fills in for the injured Justin Fields. What looked like an up and down season is now all down without their star QB.

Arizona Cardinals

1-5, but with some small hope on the horizon, as Kyler Murray approaches active status. I think it’s going to take more than him, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Budda Baker is traded sooner than later with how bad this season has gone. The secondary is devastated and both lines are slacking.
