Brock shares his NFL Power Rankings going into Week 12

NFL POWER RANKINGS – WEEK 12

1. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (8-2)

Another Chiefs vs Chargers matchup, another close game, another come from behind win by the Chiefs.

2. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (9-1)

I saw some people making fun of Nick Sirianni for being pumped up after this win. The joke being that the head coach was that excited after beating a 4-6-1 team by 1-point. I think that is a ridiculous sentiment. Aside from the fact that it is very difficult to win in the NFL, especially on the road, why wouldn’t you want your head coach to be excited after a win?

3. MIAMI DOLPHINS (7-3)

The Dolphins will come out of their bye week looking to extend their 4-game win streak – and they should have a good shot to do so as they host the Texans.

4. BUFFALO BILLS (7-3)

The Bills posted a solid win after the game being moved to Detroit because of heavy snowfall in Buffalo. Let’s see if this was a “get-right” spot in the truest sense of the word.

5. BALTIMORE RAVENS (7-3)

The Ravens surely wanted to put up more points this week, but they have to few good about holding their opponent to just 3 points – even if it is just the Panthers.

6. DALLAS COWBOYS (7-3)

Dallas bounced back from that loss at Lambeau in a major way. They controlled this game from start to finish and never let off the gas. Statement received.

7. MINNESOTA VIKINGS (8-2)

Was this a let-down spot after a huge win against Buffalo? Or did the Vikings get exposed as a fraud?

8. TENNESSEE TITANS (7-3)

This team has been one of the biggest surprises of the season. I wasn’t sure what kind of season they would have after losing AJ Brown, but it appears that these guys are for real.

9. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (6-4)

The Niners are now 3-1 since acquiring Christian McCaffrey. They are averaging 28.5 points per game in that span, which is nearly 5 points higher than their season average.

10. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (6-4)

The bye week should give Seattle time to shake off their loss in London. They will come out looking to get back in the win column against the Raiders.

11. CINCINNATI BENGALS (6-4)

The Bengals got a road win vs their divisional rivals, more impressively without the services of Ja’Marr Chase. That’s a big win for a team that has felt a little inconsistent after a Super Bowl appearance.

12. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (6-4)

The dominance of the New York Jets continues – as does the dominance of that Patriots defense. The wins just haven’t been as stunning as they were on Sunday when the Patriots returned a punt for the game-winning TD with 20 seconds left in a 3-3 game.

13. NEW YORK GIANTS (7-3)

This 7-3 record doesn’t feel that great after a demoralizing home loss to the lowly Lions.

14. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (5-5)

The Bucs lead in the NFC South is closer than anyone expected. Let’s see if the bye week will help their efforts in the 2nd half of the season.

15. WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (6-5)

The Commanders are now above .500. Has Carson Wentz’s stock ever been lower?

16. NEW YORK JETS (6-4)

This season has been a little…. turbulent. (Yes, that is an airplane joke).

17. LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (5-5)

The Chiefs little brother played that role once again on Sunday when they couldn’t protect their late lead. The good news is Keenan Allen & Mike Williams are back.

18. ATLANTA FALCONS (5-6)

Cordarrelle Patterson returned an NFL record 9th kickoff for a TD in their win against the Bears, cementing his name up there with guys like Devin Hester & Dante Hall.

19. DETROIT LIONS (4-6)

The Lions have some momentum working for them. It felt weird typing that.

20. ARIZONA CARDINALS (4-7)

The Cardinals offense really felt the loss of Kyler Murray, as they only managed 10 points against the Niners in Mexico City.

21. INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (4-6-1)

This week was a stinger for the Colts. They entered the 4th quarter with a 10-point lead vs the Eagles, but ended up squandering that lead and taking the loss at home.

22. GREEN BAY PACKERS (4-7)

The high from defeating the Dallas Cowboys didn’t last long, as the Packers turned around and dropped a home game to the Titans on Thursday Night Football.

23. NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (4-7)

This was a much-needed win for a Saints team that hit a low point when they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers & their rookie quarterback.

24. CLEVELAND BROWNS (3-7)

I think the Browns probably would have preferred to play in the snow.

25. LOS ANGELES RAMS (3-7)

It has felt like it for a few weeks now, but I think this season is officially a lost cause.

26. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (3-7)

Hopefully, for the Jags sake, they got some good prep work in for this week’s game. They will take on a Ravens defense that has allowed 16 total points in their last 2 games.

27. LAS VEGAS RAIDERS (3-7)

The Raiders beat Denver by 6 in OT to win the Battle of the AFC West Cellar Dwellers…

28. DENVER BRONCOS (3-7)

… and that brings us to the losers of the Cellar Dweller Bowl. This season must be one of the biggest letdowns in NFL history when you think about the hype around these guys in the preseason.

29. PITTSBURGH STEELERS (3-7)

Inconsistency within games is starting to become an identity of this team. On a side note, can somebody explain the thought process on some of these play calls on 3rd down?

30. CHICAGO BEARS (3-8)

Just when you thought the Bears were at their lowest point this season, Justin Fields suffers a shoulder injury. Ouch.

31. CAROLINA PANTHERS (3-8)

This was a tied game entering the 4th quarter, but then Carolina worked their magic and turned the ball over 3 times, along with a turnover on downs.

32. HOUSTON TEXANS (1-8-1)

I’m running out of bright spots to point out on this team – although the list wasn’t very long to begin with.
