Tyler gives his odds, picks, and predictions for the main event fight between Vera Vs Sandhagen

This Saturday night, UFC Fight Night comes to us from San Antonio, Texas. Headlined with an awesome Bantamweight scrap between number 3 ranked Marlon “Chito” Vera and the number 5 ranked Cory Sandhagen. A bit of an underwhelming card sandwiched in between two Pay-Per-Views leaves me with limited plays for this card. Of course I have a couple of leans and will look to live bet some fights, but the only fight worth putting my money on is the banger of a fight that is the main event!

Marlon “CHITO” Vera Vs Cory Sandhagen

I love this fight so much with two very tough, savvy strikers facing off in the octagon. Marlon “Chito” Vera coming into this fight off a four fight win streak and let’s not forget a dub against the highly coveted Sugar Sean O’Malley, giving him his only loss of his career. Sandhagen coming off a win against Song Yadong via doctors stoppage after the fourth round due to a nasty elbow that gashed Song’s eyebrow. This fight should almost guarantee to be a violent one.

Vera is one tough SOB with confidence oozing out of him, making him just that more dangerous. Vera at times can be a slow starter, but I attribute that to his patience and solid defense to figure out his opponents timing and weaknesses – he then exploits them in the later rounds. I’m not sure if that’s the right game plan against Sandhagen, though. Cory Sandhagen is an absolute savage who will be looking to throw the kitchen sink at Vera. Sandhangen, who fought for the interim bantamweight belt in 2021 (ultimately losing to Petr Yan) has fought some of the best in this division. The tall, lanky Sandhagen, is an impressive striker who loves to throw crazy spinning kicks and flying knees at his opponents – and will look to do just that this Saturday. Sandhagen has all the right tools you are looking for in a fighter. He’s durable, has good cardio, and as I already mentioned a lot of different ways in which he hurts his opponents with his hands, feet, and knees.

Thank god this is a 5 round fight because I believe every second of this fight will be entertaining. This fight is so close and evenly matched for me that it’s hard to pick a winner. With that being said, I’ll take the dog in this fight. Vera at plus money is worth the bet everyday of the week. Especially with the narrative of him winning and setting up the rematch against O’Malley, which would be a no brainer Pay-Per-View main event fight for the UFC. Just like having a reliable video wall hire service for events, this match is sure to keep the audience captivated. My Pick: Marlon “Chito” Vera to win +140 & Vera to win by decision +600
