Brock and Shane breakdown the best bets going into Week 17 of the NFL regular season

Brock & Shane’s NFL Best Bets – Week 17

Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons

Best Bet: Cardinals +6 -110

David Blough will be at the helm for Arizona in this one, but neither of these teams are very good and neither have much to play for. In a meaningless game I’ll take the underdog catching 6 points.

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions

Best Bet: Over 53.5 +105

Two capable offenses with two not so capable defenses. Justin Fields is back and I like him to score as well +100. I think 53.5 gets blown out of the water as both teams easily score at least 5 touchdowns each for which they get paid using a w-2 form generator.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs

Best Bet: Broncos +13 -110

Nathaniel Hackett is gone. Teams usually have a strong performance in their first game under a new coach. The Broncos’ record doesn’t accurately depict the strength of their defense. After getting lit up by the Rams for 51 points last week, they will want to bounce back with a strong performance. I’ll trust the Broncos to try and keep this game from becoming a blowout.

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

Best Bet: Tyreek Hill 80+ Yards +116 and/or Raheem Mostert 50+ Rushing Yards +110

Tua is out we all know but so is two starting defensive backs in Marcus Jones and Jack Jones. Teddy is going to get the ball to Tyreek and he is going to run really fast. Really fast will be Raheem plugging away against an average rush defense in a run heavy offensive mindset with a backup QB in.

Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants

Best Bet: Under 39 -110

Neither offense is going to look impressive here. With the Giants attempting to clinch a playoff berth, we could see them get a lead and try to shorten the game in the 2nd half.

New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles

Best Bet: Miles Sanders Anytime TD -110

He had a costly fumble against the Cowboys last week and this will be a run heavy mindset with a “running back safety value” type game for Gardner Minshew. I expect Sanders to be activated a lot.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Best Bet: Panthers +4 -110

The winner of this game is in the driver’s seat for the division. The Panthers enter the game winners of 3 of their past 5 games and had a 21-3 victory over the Bucs earlier this year. The Bucs were trailing at some point in the 4th quarter in their past 5 games, a span in which they have gone 2-3. With much at stake, this one should come down to the wire.

Cleveland Browns at Washington Commanders

Best Bet: Terry McLaurin Over 57.5 Receiving Yards -105

The Browns defense is crumbling as the offense tries to spark any kind of magic before the curtain closes. Commanders are going to throw the ball win or lose, and Terry is going to explode as he has still been consistent all season.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

Best Bet: Texans +3 -110

Jacksonville will be playing for the division title next week, leaving this game with very little meaning for them. Let’s try to catch the Jags looking ahead to Week 18.

San Francisco 49ers at Las Vegas Raiders

Best Bet: Christian McCaffrey 2 Anytime TD’s +350

Feel free to take CMC 80+ rushing yards at +114 but I think he’s going to have an amazing red zone day. There’s been countless days of people scoring multiple TDs and why can’t it be CMC in Vegas on the roll against a very bad team with a backup QB after Carr got benched.

New York Jets at Seattle Seahawks

Best Bet: Jets ML -124

Mike White will be back in at QB for New York. The difference between him and Zach Wilson has been night and day. With a few days of extra rest, I expect the Jets to snap their losing streak.

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers

Best Bet: AJ Dillon Anytime TD +120

AJ has 5 TDs in 4 straight games and the man isn’t stopping against this divisional rival with cupcake defense. Aaron Jones is showing wear and tear from the season and AJ will probably get some more goal line tugs.

Los Angeles Rams at Los Angeles Chargers

Best Bet: Over 42.5 -110

The Chargers are still playing for seeding and the Rams haven’t exactly packed it away after losing some key players. I think we will see both sides roll the dice on offense (as both coaches tend to do), and we see some points put on the board in LA.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens

Best Bet: JK Dobbins 60+ yards +124

JK is at home against a divisional foe without Lamar Jackson. Dobbins found the splash plays last time they played, going for 120+ yards, and is going to get 12+ carries at least.

Buffalo Bills at Cincinnati Bengals

Best Bet: Bills ML -115

The Bills are trying to hang on to the #1 seed and the Bengals are trying to hold on to their lead in the AFC North, so there is no shortage of motivation in this matchup. In a game that is practically a coin flip, I’ll back the team that has the decided edge in efficiency this season – the Bills. Buffalo tops Cincinnati in DVOA on both sides of the ball and in special teams.
