Brock and Shane share their best bests going into Week 14 of the NFL regular season

Brock & Shane’s NFL Best Bets – Week 14

Picks by Brock Hartley & Shane Ierardi

NEW YORK JETS at BUFFALO BILLS

Best Bet: Jets +10 -107

I can’t believe I’m taking the spread over the Bulls team total but something has me believing in the Green Gang. Bills had a long week to rest but lost Von Miller for the season and the Jets are believing in their new QB Mitch White who is way more capable than Zach Wilson.

CLEVELAND BROWNS at CINCINNATI BENGALS

Best Bet: Browns +5.5 -110

I’m just keeping it simple with my reasoning here – late season divisional rivalry. Should be close, right? The Browns performed well against Cincinnati back on Halloween, winning the game 32-13. Now with Deshaun Watson at the helm I’ll back Cleveland to either win again or at least keep it close.

HOUSTON TEXANS at DALLAS COWBOYS

Best Bet: Tony Pollard Over 87.5 Rushing & Receiving Yards -115

Tony Pollard has rushed for 60+ yards in his last 6 games and the Texans hold the honors of worst rushing defense. You can expect Polled to get a couple receptions in open space as well.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS at DETROIT LIONS

Best Bet: Detroit Team Total Over 26.5 -120

The 10-2 Minnesota Vikings are underdogs against the Detroit Lions. I’m not falling into this trap, so I’ll just stay away from the sides and focus on the team totals. The oddsmakers like the Lions to either keep it close or win outright. I don’t think they will do that by getting into a defensive game with Minnesota.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at TENNESSEE TITANS

Best Bet: Derrick Henry 100+ Yards and TD +141

It’s time. It’s all lining up for a massive Henry game. The Jags are soft and beaten down and the Titans have a long history of dominating the Jags easily.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at NEW YORK GIANTS

Best Bet: Under 45 -110

Again, keeping it simple. Divisional rivalry game + cold weather + precipitation = points being tough to come by. Throw in the fact that both of these teams are top 5 in rushing attempts, which should keep the clock moving, and you have an obvious bet to make.

BALTIMORE RAVENS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Best Bet: Steelers -2 -110

TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick will be buzzing at home, and with a competent offense finally, I expect the Steelers to not only win but win comfortably as the injured Ravens struggle for the finish line.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS at DENVER BRONCOS

Best Bet: Broncos +9.5 -110

I’m backing the Broncos defense once again this week and trusting them to keep this game close against a potent Chiefs offense.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Best Bet: Christian McCaffrey TD -105

With Jimmy G hurt and Brock Purdy stepping in, I’m seeing check downs, run routes, and screens all day. CMC is going to be a red zone threat for the rest of the season and this Bucs defense isn’t ready.

CAROLINA PANTHERS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Best Bet: Over 44.5 -110

I’m going with the DVOA numbers for this game. Both teams are below average on defense. Meanwhile, Seattle boasts a top 10 offense and Carolina is above average in the run game, which just so happens to be where the Seahawks defense struggles. Let’s see if the Seahawks will find themselves in another shootout.

MIAMI DOLPHINS at SAN DIEGO CHARGERS

Best Bet: Tyreek Hill Over 98.5 Receiving Yards -115

The Chargers secondary has been getting scorched all season and there is nobody back there that should be able to handle this offense or the Cheetah’s speed. I can see Tua TD passes as a nice play but Tyreek went for 146 last week and he should come close to that this week.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS at ARIZONA CARDINALS

Best Bet: Patriots -1.5 -110

Belichick had a few extra days to prepare for this one. With basically a 50/50 line, I’ll take a prepared Bill Belichick against a sub-.500 opponent.
