Shane breaks down who has been hot in the NFL, and who has not, as we approach Week 5 of the 2023 NFL season

Who is Hot in the NFL?

Detroit Lions

Rolling, rolling, rolling!!! These dudes are the real deal as the offense continues to dominate and the defense shows plenty enough fight to keep them in games. Massive improvement from last year.

Lamar Jackson

Put the team on his back! He’s playing like old Lamar where he scrambles when he can and still spiral that pigskin. Mark Andrews being healthy plays a big part in this offense but Lamar looks great after shredding the powerful Browns defense.

CJ Stroud

This dude is legit. He dominated the powerful Pittsburgh Steelers defense and is currently the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Being 4th in the league in passing yards through 4 games is mighty impressive, especially with that weak Texans roster.

Who is Not Hot in the NFL?

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals are about as violent as a pillow fight. That calf injury must be playing hell with Joe’s movement because he cannot extend plays and his team is not splashing down the field like last year. Tee Higgins is looking lost during his contract year and Joe Mixon is a ghost of himself after another drama filled offseason.

Chicago Bears

Booo! Boo Bears. They couldn’t even beat the Broncos at home. Chicago and Carolina are the only winless teams remaining. The Panthers are bad everywhere on the roster, but the Bears should be way more dangerous than what we’ve seen.

New York Giants

Brian Daboll’s magic can’t hide Danny Dimes’ struggles in year two, as this offense looks stuck in mud through 4 weeks. Getting booed at home during primetime sucks, and this team doesn’t have much to look forward to with Barkley being injured.
